Drunken-driving suspect arrested twice in one morning

Wyomissing police stopped a vehicle about 2:08 a.m. Nov. 24 for erratic driving on the Warren Street Bypass. The officer found the driver was "extremely intoxicated." The man was arrested and taken to the DUI center for a blood test.

Police cleared that case at 3:15 a.m. Less than 10 minutes later, another officer watched the same man drive away, still (presumably) drunk. He was stopped again, but this time refused to consent to a blood test. The officer released the suspect into the custody of county detectives and expects to file charges.
