Bikes stolen from homes in West Reading

A woman called West Reading police about 2:25 p.m. July 24 after she discovered that two bicycles had been stolen from the back porch of her home in the 200 block of Playground Drive. That theft was reported just a few hours after another resident called to report her daughter's bicycle was stolen overnight from the 300 block of Sunset Road.

Police later found the third missing bike in the 300 block of Kline Street, although it was now missing some parts.

A day later, someone called borough police about 8:40 a.m. to report more bicycle thefts, this time in the 500 block of Reading Avenue.
