Reading man charged in iPad theft from West Reading store

A man bought an iPad about the morning of Jan. 19 from a store in the 500 block of West Reading, paying for it with a check. The store employees later discovered the check was drawn on a closed account. They called police, who on Jan. 25 charged the suspect, a 22-year-old Reading resident, with theft, theft by deception, writing bad checks and receiving stolen property.
