West Reading man charged in undercover drug bust
A 52-year-old West Reading resident was charged earlier this month after state police said he sold crack to an undercover trooper. Between July 1 and July 13, the trooper made three trips to the man’s apartment in the 500 block of Chestnut Street in the borough and bought at least $100 worth of drugs each time. The suspect told the trooper he received the drugs from an unnamed woman. He was arrested July 15 and charged with three counts each of drug possession, possession with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia. The man was jailed in lieu of $25,000 bail pending an August preliminary hearing.
