Police from two departments chase vehicle break-in suspects

West Reading police received several reports of two men testing vehicle door handles shortly after midnight July 21 around Walnut Street and Tulpehocken Avenue in West Reading. Wyomissing police helped pursue the suspects, who ran off. One teenager tried to run across the Buttonwood Street Bridge into Reading but police stopped him. He explained he fled because of the curfew violation but police discovered he had warrants as well. The two original suspects were not caught.
