Thieves strike vehicles in West Reading

West Reading police announced July 6 on their Facebook page they had arrested two suspects in a rash of vehicle break-ins in the borough. On July 7, though, more thefts were reported:

• Someone entered an unlocked vehicle parked in the 400 block of Pine Street and broke the handle off the locked glove compartment.
• A vehicle was broken into overnight in the 300 block of Summit Street.
• A vehicle was broken into overnight in the 300 block of Pine Street.
