Wyomissing man waives preliminary hearing on arson charges
A Wyomissing resident who reportedly told police he tried to blow up a car waived his preliminary hearing April 1 and faces a jury trial this summer on multiple charges, including reckless burning and risking catastrophe. The 37-year-old suspect turned himself in about 5:47 a.m. March 2. Police said he tried to blow up a vehicle in the 300 block of Abington Road. He remains jailed in lieu of $100,000 bail.
