Fugitive tries, but fails, to avoid police during late-night stroll

Three men riding in a car about 1:55 a.m. April 17 in Wyomissing parked in a neighborhood and started walking. A borough police officer stopped them after two blocks, near the intersection of Reading Boulevard and Sunnyside Avenue. The men were all drunk and told the officer they hoped to avoid any police vehicles. Perhaps with good reason: One of them had an active warrant and was arrested.
