Drunken-driving suspect waives preliminary hearing
A West Lawn woman faces a possible jury trial on charges stemming from a crash police say she was involved in in February in Wyomissing. Officers had found the woman passed out in a car about 4:21 a.m. Feb. 20 near the intersection of Cedarwood and Larchwood roads in the borough. She was charged with drunken driving, including one count indicating a blood-alcohol content of 0.16 or higher (twice the legal limit), possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and damage to unattended property. She waived all those charges to court at a preliminary hearing April 15.
