Drunken-driving suspect waives preliminary hearing

A woman whom another driver reported to police the evening of Sept. 5 waived her preliminary hearing Nov. 5 before District Justice Timothy Dougherty. Wyomissing police pulled over the suspect, a 43-year-old Wyomissing woman, about 11:32 p.m. and pulled her over at the intersection of Spring Street and Park Road North. She still faces charges of drunken driving and impaired driving. According to the charges filed her blood-alcohol content was at least 0.16, twice the threshold for drunken-driving penalties. A third charge of disregarding traffic lanes was withdrawn.
