WHERE TAKEN: A store in the 600 block of West Reading
HOW: By paying with a check that had been written on a closed account
SUSPECT: a 24-year-old Reading man
PUNISHMENT: That all depends on what happens in future court appearances, of which he's had none.
POSSIBLE CONSEQUENCES: Felony charges of theft by deception and receiving stolen property, as well as a misdemeanor charge of writing bad checks.
