Man tries to stiff bar with nearly $100 tab

A bar manager called police about 2:05 a.m. Feb. 18 after a man tried to leave the business in the 1100 block of Bern Road in Wyomissing without paying for his drinks. By the time he was finished for the evening the customer had rung up a bill of $96.50 in drinks. The customer told police he didn't have enough money to pay the tab. The manager told him he had 24 hours to pay, or else borough police would get another call. As of Feb. 21, police didn't report getting another call from the bar manager.
