Reading man charged with firing gun in West Reading

A man accidentally shot a gun about 9:12 a.m. Feb. 9 on South Sixth Avenue in West Reading. Borough police responded and arrested the suspect, a 56-year-old Reading man. He was charged the next day with illegal possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm without a license, reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct and possessing an instrument of a crime. The suspect was jailed in lieu of $100,000 bail.
