A restaurant patron returned to her vehicle about 11:18 p.m. Oct. 31 to find that someone had broken into it while it was parked in a lot in the 1200 block of Penn Avenue. The thief or thieves smashed a passenger-side window and stole a leopard-skinned Nieman Marcus bag containing a bible and some papers containing bible verses.
