Driver, passenger face drug charges after traffic stop
Wyomissing police stopped a vehicle about 10:10 p.m. April 21 in the 900 block of Penn Avenue for an equipment violation. A search of the vehicle turned up drugs, so both the driver and passenger were arrested. The suspected driver, a 20-year-old Reading man, was charged with driving without a license, possession of a controlled substance, conspiracy and conspiracy to possess a controlled substance. The passenger, a 19-year-old Reading man, was charged with drug possession and two counts of conspiracy to possess a controlled substance. They were both jailed in lieu of $20,000 bail each.
