Man faces charges after fight at Wyomissing bar

Security guards at a Wyomissing bar had to restrain a man who tried to hit two of them about 1:45 a.m. Jan. 1. After police arrived at the bar in the 1100 block of Bern Road the man refused to give his ID, although he did give them several dates of birth. He was arrested and taken to Reading Hospital in West Reading because of his drunken state. While there, he tried to fight with police and hospital staff.

The suspect, a 21-year-old Yardley, Pa., man, was charged with disorderly conduct, public drunkenness, harassment and providing false ID. He was released on $5,000 bail.
