Reading man arrested after lying to police
A driver made an illegal left turn about 11:17 a.m. Oct. 29 from North Third Avenue onto Penn Avenue when police stopped his vehicle. He lied to the officer about his name and didn't have any proof of identification. The suspect, a 30-year-old Reading man, was arrested and charged with driving without a license, making an illegal turn, lying to police and providing false ID. He was released on 5 percent of $20,000 bail.
