Man charged after giving police fake ID

A Wyomissing police officer on patrol about 2:31 a.m. Oct. 31 spotted a man trying to hide in the 900 block of Woodland Road. The officer found the man, who appeared to be "extremely intoxicated." The suspect, a 20-year-old West Lawn man, also gave the officer a false identification. He was charged with providing a fake ID, lying about his age to purchase alcohol, purchasing alcohol while underage and public drunkenness. The young man was jailed in lieu of $10,000 bail.
