Fraud reported at department store in Wyomissing
Store security at the Sears in the Berkshire Mall called police about 11:36 p.m. Sept. 13 after someone had made thousands of dollars in purchases with a fraudulent credit card. The suspects earlier in the day bought $58.50 in merchandise from the store in the 1600 block of State Hill Road in Wyomissing, using a bogus American Express card. Later they returned and used the same payment method to buy $3,325 worth of Sears gift cards.
