Boys stopped for stealing from vehicles

A group of boys were spotted about 8:54 p.m. Aug. 1 in the alley between Oak Terrace and Pine Street in West Reading, apparently breaking into vehicles. Police stopped the suspected thieves in a nearby alley between South Fifth Avenue and Ann Street, where a witness identified them. They were cited for theft of property and returned to their homes.
