Woman charged with assault after knife attack in West Reading

A man called 911 repeatedly about 1:37 p.m. March 25 after a woman stabbed him. According to emergency radio reports, the woman kept hanging up as the victim called for help. West Reading police went to the apartment in the 500 block of Parkview Road in the borough, where they found the pair in the living room. The man was bleeding from his hand and told police he’d been cut trying to protect himself. The suspect, a 31-year-old West Reading resident, was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, harassment and reckless endangerment. She was jailed in lieu of $10,000 bail.
