Reading woman charged with stealing from West Reading store

A woman was stopped for shoplifting about 4:55 p.m. April 14 in a store in the 500 block of Penn Avenue in West Reading. Police said she was uncooperative when they arrived. They arrested the suspect, a 49-year-old Reading resident, and charged her with retail theft and receiving stolen property. She was jailed in lieu of $10,000 bail.
