Assault suspect waives preliminary hearing

A Reading man accused of beating his wife outside a home in West Reading faces a possible jury trial on charges of assault, disorderly conduct and harassment. Police arrested the suspect in the afternoon of March 21in the 200 block of Tulpehocken Avenue. He waived his preliminary hearing April 1 on charges of simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment.
