Snow thrower cited after argument with West Reading police officer

A man tossing snow into the street about 12:35 p.m. Feb. 7 in the 500 block of Sycamore Road in West Reading got the attention of a passing borough police car. The officer told the man what he was doing is illegal. The shoveler started to argue but the officer was content to let him off with a warning. As the police car pulled away the man “had several choice words” for the officer, who then stopped and returned to talk.

The man finally cleaned up the snow he tossed into the street and the officer told him to expect a citation in the mail.
