Wyomissing police received at least one report of an argument of people waiting to get into the Toys 'R' Us store about 10:43 p.m. Nov. 26 in the 1000 block of Woodland Road in the borough. A shopper called police to have them handle the line-jumpers, but the officer told the caller to take it up with the store. Nonetheless, a police detail was there for crowd and traffic control, as at least 1,000 people waited in line for the toy store's midnight opening. Management agreed to open the doors early, so customers could get in the store before Black Friday technically began.
