Wyomissing police officer injured in chase for wanted man
A Wyomissing police officer stopped a car for a traffic violation about 8:03 p.m. Nov. 13 at the intersection of Park Road North and Douglass Street in the borough. The driver had a 2004 warrant for a probation violation and tried to run for it. The officer chased him and arrested the driver but suffered a cut on his hand in the process. The wanted man now faces additional charges. The officer was treated and released from Reading Hospital.
