Reading-area woman charged with assault stemming from shoplifting incident at Berkshire Mall
Security guards tried to stop a woman who had stolen $46 worth of merchandise about 7:56 p.m. Oct. 24 from a store in the Berkshire Mall, in the 1600 block of State Hill Road in Wyomissing. She dumped the merchandise and ran, with two other people, into a vehicle and drove away, striking a mall security guard as they left.
