Traffic stop leads to drunken-driving charges
A West Reading police officer stopped a vehicle about 1:30 a.m. Sept. 13 in the 700 block of Penn Avenue for an unspecified traffic violation. The officer suspected the driver was drunk. The driver was arrested and taken to the Berks County DUI Processing Center.
