New York man could face trial on drug charges

A Flushing, N.Y., man facing charges of drug possession waived his preliminary hearing on Aug. 24. He was arrested in the evening of July 24 after a Wyomissing police officer spotted suspicious activity in the 400 block of Park Road North. The man's bail was originally set at $100,000 but was reduced to $50,000 at his Aug. 24 court appearance. He remains in jail.

Charges of drug possession, possession with intent to deliver, driving without a license and failure to use a turn signal were all held for court.
