Four cars damaged in accident on Penn Avenue in Wyomissing

A driver ran a red light about 3:08 p.m. Aug. 28 at the intersection of Penn Avenue and State Hill Road in Wyomissing. The vehicle, heading east on Penn Avenue, struck a second vehicle that was traveling south on State Hill Road, then a third that was stopped at the traffic light and facing north on State Hill Road. The driver kept going, over a traffic island, across the right-turn lane and jumped a curb before hitting a light pole. The vehicle then drove across two lanes on Penn Avenue before colliding with a parked car. No one was injured in the crashes but three vehicles needed to be towed.
