Callers try, but fail, to dupe Wyomissing resident
A Wyomissing man received a phone call Sept. 14 from a man who claimed to be his grandson. The caller said he needed $3,000 to get out of a drunken-driving charge in Toronto. The would-be victim didn’t fall for it, and the would-be scammer hung up.
