Reading man charged with deceiving West Reading business
A store employee discovered at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 14 that a customer's check for more than $2,500 worth of merchandise from the business, in the 600 block of Penn Avenue in West Reading, had been written on a closed account. Borough police investigated and today they charged the suspect, a 24-year-old Reading man, with theft by deception, writing bad checks and receiving stolen property.
