Someone stole the purse of a woman who was shopping Dec. 7 at the Reading China and Glass outlet, in the 700 block of Reading Avenue in West Reading. Borough police did not indicate what was in the purse.
Two days earlier, West Reading police received two other reports of purse thefts: One that happened at 8:54 a.m. Dec. 5 in the 200 block of South Third Avenue, and another at 11:04 a.m. on South Sixth Avenue.
In other purse-related news: One alleged thief didn't get away with his crime. The Reading Eagle reports:
