Reading man arrested on shoplifting charges in Wyomissing
A man tried to take $352.88 worth of merchandise from a store about 1:50 p.m. Nov. 1 in the Berkshire Mall, in the 1600 block of State Hill Road in Wyomissing. Store security stopped him, then called borough police. The man, a 54-year-old Reading resident, is also a suspect in a theft of $459.88 in goods stolen Oct. 8, though police didn't say where that theft took place. The suspect has multiple theft convictions and was charged with retail theft and receiving stolen property. He was jailed in lieu of $25,000 bail.
