Shoplifting suspect arrested in Wyomissing store

A woman with a history of retail theft convictions was arrested once again. Store security stopped her about 1:09 p.m. Oct. 21 in the Home Depot in the 1700 block of Crossing Drive in Wyomissing. Borough police discovered the suspect had five previous convictions and she was a suspect in an earlier incident in the borough. The suspect, a 30-year-old Reading woman, was charged (again) with retail theft, receiving stolen property, theft by deception and theft by unlawful taking. She was jailed in lieu of $15,000 bail. Police did not say what she tried to take from the home improvement store.
