Wal-Mart worker charged with theft

A (presumably former) Wal-Mart employee was charged May 26 with stealing from the cash register at the store where he worked in the 1100 block of Berkshire Boulevard. Store security called police about the theft May 6. The suspect, a 23-year-old Reading man, was charged with a single count of theft. Police said he had admitted to taking money from the store several times in the week before he was caught.
