Littering in Wyomissing leads to drug charges

A woman had the unfortunate timing of throwing trash out a vehicle window about 6:30 p.m. June 13 in a parking lot in the 800 block of Hill Avenue in Wyomissing, while a borough police officer was watching. The officer asked her to pick up the litter. As she did so, a bundle of heroin fell out of her lap and onto the ground. The suspect, a 24-year-old Elverson, Pa., woman, was charged with drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.
