Customer stiffs Wyomissing restaurant for kid's birthday party

It is Borough Blue's belief that while children may be precious and special and all that other nonsense, they can also be frightfully expensive. Nonetheless, if one plans a birthday party costing several hundred bucks, one should pay for said party. Otherwise, the police get involved.

That's what happened in the evening of May 10, when the manager of a restaurant in the 1100 block of Bern Road in Wyomissing called police. A customer failed to make full payment for a child's birthday held inside the restaurant, and calls to the customer were futile. Police are investigating the customer for theft of services, as $380.12 is still owed for the kid's party.
