Supporters of Wyomissing Dispatch Center hope to save it from budget cuts

Wyomissing's budget next year calls for cutting funding for its emergency dispatch center, which would save the borough $200,000 while cutting six jobs, according to this Nov. 22 article in the Reading Eagle.

West Reading, like most of Berks County, is on the county-run dispatch system.

Supporters of Wyomissing's center hope to rally support to save it, and have created a Facebook page encouraging people to attend the borough's next budget meeting. The borough will discuss its budget at a meeting Dec. 14 at 7 p.m. at the Wyomissing Public Library, 9 Reading Blvd.

More background on the history of Wyomissing's dispatch center can be found here.
