Three women went to the West Reading police Oct. 3 after seeing a man commit an unspecified sexual act about 1:40 in the afternoon that day in a laundry in the first block of South Sixth Avenue in the borough. A little more than a week later, on Oct. 12, a man took women's clothing and again committed an unspecified sex act at the laundry.
Police charged a 43-year-old West Reading man in both incidents. He was charged with two counts of harassment and one count of open lewdness in the Oct. 3 case, and charged with open lewdness, theft and receiving stolen property in the Oct. 12 incident. He was released on $10,000 bail pending a preliminary hearing.
