Two Reading men face drug charges after arrest in Wyomissing

Wyomissing police spotted a suspicious vehicle about 8:30 p.m. July 9 in a restaurant parking lot in the 700 block of Woodland Road in the borough. Officers saw a green Chevrolet truck leave one parking lot and enter another and stop with its headlights on and the engine running. When police identified the two men inside they learned the passenger had an open warrant. The officer also noticed a false panel inside the passenger door and found 125 packets of heroin and eight packets of cocaine inside.

The passenger also had two cell phones and $60 cash on him; the driver had $845 in cash. Both men, each a Reading resident, were charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession with intent to deliver heroin. They were jailed in lieu of $20,000 each.
