Driver gives fake identification to police

Wyomissing police stopped a vehicle for a minor traffic violation about 4:48 p.m. July 19 on a highway on-ramp in the borough. The driver, whom police determined was an illegal immigrant, gave the officer a fake ID card. He was arrested and charged with driving without a license, providing false identification, providing a fake license and lying to police. The man was jailed in lieu of $2,500 bail.
