GPS device stolen from vehicle parked in Berkshire Mall lot

About 3:28 p.m. May 22, someone saw a man smash the window of a vehicle parked in the parking lot of the Berkshire Mall, in the 1600 block of State Hill Road in Wyomissing. The thief stole a GPS device and drove off in a yellow or tan late-1980s-model Mercury. Police charged a suspect, a 55-year-old Reading resident, with theft, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief. He was charged May 26 and jailed in lieu of $25,000 bail.
