Woman faces charges after crash on West Shore Bypass

A woman driving about 4:35 a.m. April 23 crashed her car into the concrete median on Route 422 East, just before the Penn Street Bridge exit ramp in Wyomissing. Police from both West Reading and Wyomissing responded to the crash. The woman suffered unspecified injuries and her air bags deployed in the collision. Wyomissing police suspected she was drunk. An ambulance took her to St. Joseph Medical Center in Bern Township for treatment of her injuries and to test her blood-alcohol level.
