Reading man faces shoplifting charges after arrest in Wyomissing

A man fled after stealing items about 10:50 a.m. March 27 from a Home Depot in the 1700 block of Crossing Drive in Wyomissing. Store security tried, but failed, to stop him before he ran away. Wyomissing and West Reading police caught up with the suspect somewhere between the Tulpehocken Creek and Route 422. He was arrested and charged with retail theft and receiving stolen property. The suspect, a 33-year-old Reading man, was jailed in lieu of $10,000 bail.
