Boyfriend argues with girlfriend, then fights with police

A woman called Wyomissing police about 11:14 p.m. April 1 because her boyfriend was “verbally abusing her.” After officers arrived at the home in the 1500 block of Meadowlark Road in the borough, the boyfriend refused to cooperate. He resisted arrest, injuring himself in the process. So rather than go straight to jail he went to Reading Hospital instead.
