Call about threats leads to DUI arrest
A man told Western Berks Police about 9:53 p.m. Jan. 27 that an employee of a restaurant in the 1700 block of State Hill Road in Wyomissing threatened him with a gun. Wyomissing police searched the worker and his car but couldn’t find a gun. While on that call, though, police did stop a car for careless driving a short time later, at 10:01 p.m. on State Hill Road. The suspected driver, a 41-year-old borough resident, refused a blood-alcohol test. He was arrested and charged with drunken driving and careless driving, and jailed in lieu of $10,000 bail.
