Woman stops burglary try in Wyomissing

A Wyomissing resident was home about 1:44 a.m. Jan. 10 in the 100 block of Gail Circle when she heard the back door rattling. She checked it out and found a man who was trying to break in. He ran off and officers from Wyomissing, Spring Township, West Reading and Pennsylvania State Police searched for the suspect, who had sprinted down Gail Circle. Police described him as a thin white man in his late teens or early 20s, between 5 feet-10 inches and 6 feet tall, wearing a dark, puffy coat and a red or orange knit hat.
