West Reading man charged with shoplifting from Wyomissing supermarket

Store security stopped a man for stealing $44.53 in merchandise about 3:57 p.m. in the Redner’s supermarket in the 1100 block of Berkshire Boulevard in Wyomissing. Police discovered the suspect had been convicted of retail theft in the past. They charged him with retail theft and receiving stolen property. The suspect, a 51-year-old West Reading resident, was jailed in lieu of 10 percent of $5,000 bail.
