Shillington man faces drunken-driving charges following traffic stop in Wyomissing

Wyomissing police stopped a vehicle that was speeding about 11:43 p.m. Nov. 5 through the intersection of Museum Road and Wyomissing Boulevard in the borough. The officer discovered the driver had been drinking and took him to St. Joseph's Hospital for a blood test, which the driver refused. That led to an immediate arrest. The suspect, a 44-year-old Shillington man, was charged with speeding and drunken driving and jailed in lieu of $5,000 bail.
